Comments Off on ‘DC Universe Online’ to Update with Catwoman, Valentine’s Day Content

IGN.com has an article that discusses the upcoming content update for DC Universe Online:

The makers of DC Universe Online have been true to their promise to update the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, which costs $15 per month. Less than thirty days from its initial release, developer Sony Online Entertainment has announced a significant update to the title that will go into effect in mid-to-late February that includes a new story mission, Catwoman and a number of Valentine’s Day-themed goodies. Naturally, there’s a teaser video accompany the news, and it continues the story of DC’s dark and fractured future. Starring Lex Luthor and Batman, all we can say about this clip is, “the plot thickens.”

01 February 2011
This weekend’s event is a “Generals” match…

This event will have a few differences from our standard “Generals” matches:

  • All games will be played on one map.
    • All of the maps in play will be linked into one large map.
  • When Player A‘s force defeats Player B‘s general, the remainder of Player B‘s force will become part of Player A‘s team.
    • Player B becomes the “sergeant” of the Player A.
    • Player B and Player A can coordinate to develop strategy, but Player A has the final word over the positioning and use of forces.
  • There will be one three-hour round.
    • If more than one player’s general is remaining at the end of three hours, a final, sudden-death rule will go into effect: Each player will pare his/her team down to the remainder of their original force and play until only one general and their force remains.

If anyone has further questions, please leave a comment on this post; I will make efforts to have answers posted before Saturday’s match.
